Barbara Ann Urich
1937-2025
Barbara Ann Urich, 88, a longtime resident of Salem, passed away peacefully at Brookdale Assisted Living in Salem.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1937, in Ellsworth, the daughter of the late Lamont Stanley and Reland Tamar (Reefer) Urich. Barbara was affiliated with St. Paul Roman Catholic Parish in Salem.
Since 2010, Barbara had resided at Brookdale Assisted Living with her sister, Eleanor. The two shared a lifelong bond, having lived together their entire lives and cared deeply for one another. Barbara especially enjoyed participating in arts and crafts and attending cooking classes at Brookdale.
She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Eleanor Marie Urich of Salem and Marlene Dominic of Youngstown; a brother-in-law, Jay Simmons of Sebring, as well as by her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Simmons, and her brother-in-law, Don Dominic.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Brookdale Assisted Living of Salem for their wonderful care.
Private services will be held for the family.
