Barbara L. Meissner

1941-2025

Barbara L. Meissner, 83, of Salem, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025. She was born on July 19, 1941, in Deerfield, Ohio to Donald and Mary (Hartzell) Manypenny.

Barbara leaves behind her husband of 42 years Francis Meissner, sons Dwight L. Weingart of Bedford, Ohio, Dean L. Weingart of Cardington, Ohio and daughter Charlene A. Menegos (Joseph Kramer) of Little River, South Carolina. Besides her husband and children, Barbara is survived by grandchildren: Rachel (Alex) Weikart of Garner, North Carolina, Jared Weingart of Bedford, Ohio, Leah Menegos of Apex, North Carolina, and Jacob Weingart of Bedford, Ohio.

She also leaves behind her siblings, brother: Paul Manypenny and sisters: Janet Smith, Wilma Manypenny, Rosemary Pharo, Carol Thompson, and Donna Thompson. She also has many nieces and nephews.

Barbara worked in the Dietary Department of the Salem Regional Hospital for many years. She was a longtime member of the Salem First Christian Church.

Visitation will be held at Stark Memorial on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. with the funeral service promptly at 4 p.m. Private burial at Highland Memorial Park.
