Mary Ann Roth

1930-2025

SALEM — Mary Ann Roth, 94, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.

Mary Ann was born on Aug. 25, 1930, in Salem, Ohio, daughter of the late Michael and Mathilda (Molleck) Linder.

Mrs. Roth was a 1948 graduate of Salem High School. She was a bookeeper for 31 years at Peoples Lumber Company, retiring in 1993. Mary Ann was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.

She was a 50-year member of the Salem Saxon Ladies Lodge branch 18 and served as a trustee and was a member of the Salem Hills Golf Country Club.

Mary Ann was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

Her husband Martin Roth, whom she married Oct. 1, 1950, died June 21, 2017.

She is survived by two children, Marty Roth of Salem, Nancy Edmon of Peachtree, Ga.; grandchildren, Martin Roth IV and Kelly (Matt) Donovan; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Donovan.

Besides her parents and husband, Mary Ann was preceded in death by one daughter, Lorie Jean Roth.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Salem, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
