COLUMBIANA — Ardeth Eleanor Strabala, 91, of Columbiana, died on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, at her home in Columbiana.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1933, in Salem, daughter of the late Arthur and LaRue Mellott Yeagley.
Ardeth had worked as a cafeteria manager for South Range Schools and was a member of Calla Community Church. She enjoyed decorating cakes, trips to Amish country and beyond all she loved spending time with her family, especially playing on the floor with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 24 years, Richard Strabala, preceded her in death in 1977.
Ardeth is survived by her three daughters, Kimberly (Harry) Coleman, Linda (John) Smith and Julie Strabala; a son, Richard (Laurie) Strabala; two sisters, Debby (Terry) Bowers and Vickie (Gene) Baker and a brother, Dwain (Pat) Yeagley; six grandchildren, Amanda (Adam) Little, Megan (Jordy) Coburn, Tyler (Courtney Smith) Morrell, Kassandra Morrell, Spencer (Brandy Mosser) Morrell and Hunter (Sophia Smith) Morrell; nine great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Grayson and Easton Coburn, Remington Barnhart, Eli Burke, T.J. and Carl Morrell, Weston Morrison and Noland Morrell and two more great-grandchildren on the way.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna M. Holliday, and a brother, Jerry Yeagley.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
Services will be held on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Chaplain James Houston officiating.
Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Salem.
