Inez R. Webb
1932-2025
HANOVERTON — Inez R. Webb, 93, of Hanoverton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Oct. 19, 2025.
She was born on Sept. 23, 1932, in Oka, West Virginia, the daughter of the late T. Walter. and Erma (Simons) Jarvis.
Inez dedicated over five decades of her life to serving others as a waitress at Timberlanes Restaurant in Salem, where she worked faithfully for 52 years. She was known for her keen sense of humor as well as her stoic demeanor, her warm smile, and her unwavering work ethic.
Her faith was Baptist, which served as a source of comfort, strength, and guidance throughout her life. Outside of work, Inez found joy in quilting, a member of the Wednesday Night Women’s Bowling League, gardening, and spending time with her family. Though her recent years posed physical limitations to tending the garden outside, she continued to be an integral part of the harvest and canning, sharing her love for homegrown foods with her family. She was also deeply devoted to the ministry of Al-Anon, where she offered encouragement and support to others with compassion and understanding.
Each of Inez’s children shared a unique and special place in her life. Conversations with Inez always included stories and reflections about them. Deborah shared her mother’s love for quilting and canning. Barbara shared her dedication to her children and grandchildren, a devotion her mother deeply admired. Lee shared his enthusiasm for sports, especially high school football and the Guardians, sparking many spirited discussions.
The life Inez lived was nothing short of phenomenal. She carried a tender heart and a quiet wisdom. While her words were often few, her deep passion for people shone through in moments of sincere and powerful expression.
Inez was especially proud of her growing family, which includes six grandchildren, Steven L. Mango, deceased; Kimberly (Mango) Cody of Hanoverton; Todd (Christine) Devine of Youngstown; Brandon (Erin) Mango of Hanoverton; Brad (Beth) Devine of Leetonia; and Lynette (Sell) Reckner and Nicholas Reckner of Hanoverton.
She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. Her family brought her immense happiness and pride, and she cherished every moment shared with them.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. French Lee Webb; son, Roger Webb; brothers, Tommy and Marvin Jarvis; sister, Margie Jarvis; grandson, Steven L. Mango, and her parents, Thomas Walter and Erma Jarvis
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Webb of Hanoverton; son-in-law, Jeff Sell of Hanoverton, daughter, Barbara Devine of Salem; and son, Lee Allen “Huck” Webb of Salem.
She has left a lasting legacy with numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends from her many years of working at Timberlanes. The Paparodis family provided incredible love and support to Inez throughout her life and career. To know Inez was to love her. She will always be remembered for her dedication to family and her commitment to her work as a waitress, and for the relationships she built and embraced over the years. Heaven has gained an amazing steward of faith and tenacity.
