Vivian Sell-Culler
1937-2025
SALEM — Vivian Sell-Culler, 87, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at her home in Salem, Ohio.
She was born November 18, 1937, in Signal, Ohio, daughter of the late Lewis W. and Zeta (Gorby) Butler.
She was a 1956 graduate of David Anderson High School.
Vivian was a volunteer at the Salem Community Hospital for many years and taught Sunday school for 37 years. She also spent many years cooking for the Quaker Canyon Camp in Damascus, Ohio. Vivian was an exceptional cake decorator, having decorated many wedding cakes for friends and family.
She worked at Huffman Fruit Farm for 30 years as an orchard manager. Most knew Vivian as the “Strawberry Lady.”
Her love in life was having Sunday dinner at home with all her family around the table.
She leaves behind three sons, Raymond Sell of Columbiana, Michael (Helena) Sell of Boardman, and Scott (JoLin) of Canfield; and two stepdaughters, Kathleen (Jim) Ilamanna and Barbara Culler of Salem. Vivian will also be dearly missed by her nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene R. Culler, whom she married in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her five sisters, Ethel Faulker, Ruth Clark, Thelma Bryd, Lois Ensenwein and Edith Anderson, as well as a daughter-in-law, Sandy Sell, and a granddaughter, Amanda Lee Sell.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00-1:00pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, 1014 E. State St., Salem, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm.
Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Beloit, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Columbiana Nazarene Church located at 330 N Elm St, Columbiana, Ohio 44408.
Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
