Patricia A. Mogish

1944-2026

CANFIELD — Patricia A. Mogish, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at her home in Canfield.

She was born on May 13, 1944, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Prokop Mogish.

Patricia was a 1962 graduate of Chaney High School and worked for 38 years at Ohio Edison before retiring to devote her time to watching her great nephews and nieces. Patty enjoyed traveling, reading, playing cards and baking for her family and friends. She had a lifelong love of animals and volunteered her time walking dogs at a local shelter in her later years.

She is survived by her two nephews, Rob (Lisa Cusano) Steiskal of New Waterford and Jeff (Wendy) Steiskal of Leetonia; and five great-nephews and -nieces, Justin, Lindsey, Alaina, Gavin, and Madelyn Steiskal.

Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Michael Mogish; and her sister, Marlene Helen Steiskal.

Per her wishes, no services will be held. Instead, memorial donations may be made in her memory to: Animal Charity of Ohio, 8469 Southern Blvd., Building 3, Boardman, Ohio 44512

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
