1962-2026

BELOIT – Mark Alan Griffith, 63, went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Dec. 13, 1962, in Alliance, he was the son of James M. Griffith and the late Rose (Trummer) Griffith.

Mark was the owner of Opportunity Knocks Door Co. which he founded in 2000. He was a member of Damascus Friends Church, a member of the Damascus Park Board, and a proud 1981 West Branch graduate. Mark enjoyed golfing, fishing, and visiting national parks. He was a former coach of Little Warriors basketball and youth baseball coach. He loved attending his children’s sports events and spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his father, James, Mark also leaves behind his wife, Dawn (Kelly) Griffith, whom he married Sept. 30, 1989; children, Hannah (Nate) Malmsberry, Jacob (Lauren) Griffith and Emma (Derek) Rine; seven grandchildren, Russell, Hazel, Henry, Weston, Ivy, Theodore and Ellis, and two sisters, Diane Griffith and Marlene (Griffith) Shapira.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Damascus Friends Church.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the church with Pastor John Ryser officiating.
