BELOIT — Barbara M. Bratton, 71, passed away at her residence on Sunday, April 19, 2026, with her family faithfully by her side.
Barbara was born on April 26, 1954, in Salem, Ohio, to the late Donald R. Schneider and Verna J. (Hawk) Schneider. She graduated from West Branch High School in 1972. After high school, she attended some college at Kent State. Barbara worked in accounts payable at Tolson Comfort Systems in Salem for 24 years, which she eventually retired from.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She took pride in her family and was always there to support her loved ones through life’s many tribulations. Barbara’s grandchildren were an integral part of her life, just as much as she was to them.
She was a very talented and crafty woman. She spent many hours working on sewing and embroidery projects, sometimes creating heartfelt gifts for the ones she loved. She also expressed her talents through cooking and baking, specifically wedding cakes.
Barbara was active at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in North Georgetown for most of her life. She was a devoted woman of faith, love, and compassion. She rarely missed church on Sundays.
She leaves behind two daughters, Bridget (William) Kale and Milinda Westbrook, three grandsons, Bradley Kale, Justin Kale, and Brandon Grimminger, and a granddaughter, Briana Kale. She also leaves behind two sisters and a brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry D. Bratton, who passed away in March of 2024. They had spent over 50 loving years together, building a strong family and countless memories.
