Marilyn L. McBride

1938-2026

SALEM — Marilyn L. McBride, 87, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Blossom Nursing Center in Salem, Ohio.

She was born on June 1, 1938, in Bellaire, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frederick and Martha (Myers) Schramm.

Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of Salem High School and was employed by AT&T, formerly Ohio Bell, for 37 years as a telephone operator. She retired in 1993.

She dedicated much of her free time to music. She was a professional musician and enjoyed singing at weddings for friends and family. She also spent time singing in the Akron Symphony and in the choir at First Christian Church, where she was a member for 50 years.

She leaves behind two sisters, Nancy Weidmann and Carol Kelly, and a brother, Harold (Bonnie) Schramm. Marilyn will also be dearly missed by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Frederick Schramm.

There will be no services for Marilyn at this time.

Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
