Robert D. Todd

SALEM — Robert D. Todd, 98, passed away Monday May 25, 2026, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born on July 20, 1927, in Salem Ohio, to the late Harry S. and Mable L. (Glenn) Todd. Bob graduated from Salem High School and served in the United States Army.

Upon returning to Salem, he enrolled in trade school and became an accomplished carpenter.

Bob married Laurel Ball on Feb. 10, 1950. They spent 76 loving and unforgettable years together.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Laurel; three sons, Howard Todd, DVM (Louise Jones-Todd, DVM), Ted (Becky) Todd, and Tim (Jane) Todd; a daughter, Susan (Jim) Young; and a sister, Dorcas Beck. He will also be dearly missed by his nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026, at First Friends Church located at 1028 Jennings Ave., Salem, Ohio. The funeral service will commence at 11:30 a.m. at the church. He will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Robert Todd to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Shriners Children’s.

Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home.
