SALEM -- Ann Hartman, 101 years old, passed away on July 22, 2026, at her home in Salem, Ohio.
She was born on May 30, 1925, in Elizabeth, Pa., to the late Stephen and Mary (Maceyko) Dzurenda.
Before her marriage, Ann worked at Copperweld Steel Company during World War II as a tester and later as a high school secretary in Glassport, Pa.
Ann was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem, Ohio, where she served on the funeral buffet for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, traveling, bowling, crocheting and baking.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Deborah A. Hartman of Salem, Ohio, sons, Donald P. (Janet) Hartman of Salem, Ohio, and Mark S. (Linda) Hartman of Lisbon, Ohio. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Adrianna (David Farris) Hartman, Derek (Miranda) Hartman, Craig (Catherine) Hartman, Kyle (Ashley) Hartman, Chad (Kate) Hickman, and five great-grandchildren, Layla, Adeline, Calvin, Kaden, and Ava.
Besides her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Donald L. Hartman, whom she married on Nov. 23, 1950, and passed away April 5, 2021, and her sisters Margaret Knapik and Helen Korenoski, and a brother, Stephen C. Dzurenda.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church, located at 935 E. State St., Salem, Ohio, with Father Robert Edwards officiating. No calling hours will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
