Edna M. (Dillinger) Pokorny, 71, of 36340 Old State Route 558, Salem, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026 at Salem Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Edna was born Aug. 30, 1954 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Pearl A. Dillinger and Doris M. (Carlisle) Dillinger.
Edna was a beloved housewife and helped raise many children in her local community. A lot of these children have stayed in contact with her over the years and have included her in many of their celebrations and life achievements.
She went on to work as a caterer for Carol's Catering for over 25 years before retiring.
A Lisbon resident most of her life, she was a member of the Lisbon Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, David P. Pokorny of 55 years, whom she married in 1971; three daughters, Amy (Stevie) Stephens of Lisbon, Ohio, Emily Chapman of Port Richey, Florida, and Elizabeth (Rob) Maruca of Haslet, Texas. Also surviving are her four sisters, Diane Meek, Grace Long, and Myra (Larry) Spooner, all of Lisbon, Ohio, and Judy (Gordon) Morris of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Edna is survived by her eight grandchildren, Brittany (Drew) Kolbus of Berlin Center, Ohio, Phillip Stephens, Logan Gaskill and Phoenix Stephens of Lisbon, Ohio, Owen and Samantha Chapman of Port Richey, Florida, Jobey and Jace Maruca of Haslet, Texas, and two great-grandchildren, Catherine and Andrew Kolbus of Berlin Center, Ohio.
Edna also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Audrey Horton, and her grandson, Kaden Allen Justice.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lisbon Cemetery.
