Paul S. Given

1932-2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul S. Given. He was a cherished member of our community, who left us on July 28, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on Aug. 22, 1932, in Birch River, West Virginia, Paul lived a life marked by dedication to his family. He married his bride of many years Rosalyn (Sackett) Given on June 3,1953.

Paul is survived by his beloved sons, Paul E. Given and Tim (Mary Kay) Given; grandchildren Susan Beck, Bobbie Joe Given, John Given, Emma Given, Matthew Given, Daniel Given, and Elizabeth Given; great-grandchildren Will, Rachel, Wade, Mack, Miles, Aaron, Sydney, Connor and Liam who will carry forward his legacy of love and strength. He touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness and his memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him. Besides his parents Carl and Ellen (Burg) Given he was preceded in death by his wife Rosalyn and brother John G Given.

Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and bird watching in his spare time but most of all loved taking care of his family and home that he built. He maintained and continually updated and remodeled to make his wife and family a better life. He enjoyed working in the yard and maintaining his gardens. Paul enjoyed helping friends, neighbors and family, never turning anyone away.

Funeral service to honor Paul's life will be held on Aug. 3, 2026, at noon, with visitation one hour before from 11 a.m. to noon. The service will take place at Braceville Christian Church, 4387 Church Street, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444. Pastor Jeff Sagstetter will be presiding. A time for family, friends, and loved ones will gather to pay their respects. Following the service, Paul will be laid to rest at Braceville Cemetery.

In this time of sorrow, we invite all who knew Paul to join us in celebrating his life, reflecting on the memories shared, and finding comfort in the strong bonds of family and friendship. Paul Given will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Braceville Christian Church in Paul's name.
