SALEM -- Patricia Lynne Yeagley (Ferguson), 86, of Salem, passed away on Sept. 25, 2026, at Caprice Health Care in North Lima.
Born on Oct. 2, 1939, in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William Lynn and Mary Sophie (Menning) Ferguson.
Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She married Dwain Yeagley on July 6, 1957, and together they shared many years of love and companionship.
She is survived by her husband, Dwain Yeagley; her children, Lynne (Ron) Kappler of North Lima and Dan (Kelli) Yeagley of Columbiana; her grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Brandon (Christina) Kappler, Scott (Lindsey) Yeagley, Luke (Amy) Yeagley, Connor (Jeff) Karlen, Kate (Cody) Sturtz, and Olivia Yeagley (Connor Wilson); and her great-grandchildren, Kylie, Aiden, Eliana, Nolan, Gwen, Layne, Norman, Adalyn, and Weston. She is also survived by her brother, William Ferguson of Salem; her daughter-in-law, Janet Yeagley and Charlie Lanterman; and her sister-in-law, Cinda Ferguson of Salem.
Patricia dedicated much of her life to serving others through her work. She was an aide at South Range Schools, where she contributed to the care and support of students, and she also worked at Huffman Fruit Farm. Her work reflected her dependable nature and her willingness to help wherever she was needed. She was a member of Greenford Christian Church, where her faith was an important part of her life and a source of strength and comfort.
In her free time, Patricia enjoyed reading, knitting, and traveling. She especially loved visiting Amish country, where she found joy in the peaceful surroundings and simple pleasures of the journey. These interests brought her happiness over the years and gave her many cherished memories. She appreciated the beauty of quiet moments and the company of those she loved, and she will be remembered for the gentle, thoughtful way she lived her life.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her son, David Yeagley; her brother, Richard Ferguson; her great-grandchildren, Nolan, Brantley, and Amelia Kappler; and her sister-in-law, Phyllis Ferguson.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor John Bush officiating. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
