To the editor:

Issue 1 is a slap in the face to Lincoln, a Republican who gave his life for equality for all. Abe, the images of honesty, would cringe at today’s GOP. Most use their position for personal gain, money and power. They will not work with Democrats for the good of us all. God teaches us to care for each other. Politics are full of lies and liars. God relates over and over how much He hates liars.

Liars become greedy, cheating con men, taking dark money to gain for themselves. Liars become the evil ones that deprive honest people of equality. Anyone who supports liars are considered liars. Check with your Bible. God says liars have chosen their fate and He rewards how you lived. Romans 2:6-8.

DeWine promised no gerrymandering his first run. Now he won’t follow the law. He supports private schools so his rich friends get richer. Lessening support for public schools. He is mentioned in the First Energy scandal. He supports Issue 1 and Trump, making him a liar and a hypocrite.

Bill Johnson backed Trump to take away some safety laws for railroads; now backs a bill to replace them. He is a Trumpster and a hypocrite and a part of Dave Johnson’s group that are Trump supporters.

Trump’s legacy is Jan. 6 when he tried to destroy democracy. Frank LaRose is backing Issue 1. He also wants to control Ohioans’ freedoms. He is beginning an “iffy” political history.

Who else in DeWine’s cabinet is connected to the First Energy scandal, destroying Ohio’s reputation for being a mostly fair political state to live in?

Political groups distort the truth for personal gain. Beware of proposed political changes. Study them carefully. Remember God rewards how you have lived. His words are in the Bible.
