To the editor:

Over the past four years, Mayor Peter Wilson has done many positive things for Lisbon. His actions speaker louder than words.

Mayor Wilson is present and available in his office, holding other offices to the same standard. He is intelligent and thoughtful while searching and finding government grants to fund improvements. His planning goes years into the future. If physical exertion is needed, Mayor Wilson takes initiative and does things himself. Among other activities, he weed whacks under the guardrail at the city limits and also does plants and spreads mulch on the Square. What other mayor does that? Neighboring towns are taking notice.

Pride in Lisbon is growing because the town looks much better. People who have moved away make comments on social media about how beautiful the Square has become. My 92-year-old mother, a Lisbon native said, “This town has never looked this good.”

Mayor Wilson works with the Beautification Committee to make this happen in every season. Mayor Wilson posts job listings and activities available to all on social media. This kind and caring man does everything he can think of to help the residents of Lisbon and beyond. A vote to re-elect Mayor Wilson is a vote for Lisbon’s future. The sky is the limit.
