Breaking the permitting roadblock

To the editor: Ohio’s abundant natural resources have helped make us one of the key energy-producing states in the country but this production can be hindered by inefficient permitting processes. To continue our economic growth, we must support common sense permitting reform based on predictability and efficiency. The oil and gas industry is pivotal to Ohio. The industry directly employs over 70,000 Ohioans and supports more than 350,000 jobs. We rely on American-made oil and gas to keep our Ohio manufacturers competitive and affordable for families. Protect parents: Vote no on Issue One for abortion rights

As a father of three young women doing my best along with my wife Lauren to raise them amid today’s mixed-up culture, there is so much to be concerned about. What messages are they getting about the world outside from the shows they watch? What will it be like when they are old enough to date? When we move to Perry Township, we obviously had our children in Salem schools, as well ...

Each October service providers join together with allies to attempt to draw the nation’s attention to the problem of domestic violence. But, why say “Everyone knows someone?” Because it’s true! According to the findings of the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, over 40% of Americans will be victimized by either sexual violence, physical violence or stalking by an intimate partner within their lifetime. And it doesn’t matter if you are male or ...
