As we enter Suicide Prevention Awareness Month this September, we extend a heartfelt message of support, compassion, and hope.

This is a time for us all to come together, raise awareness, and demonstrate that no one has to face their struggles alone. Let us use this month as an opportunity to engage in open conversations about mental health, to offer our support to those in need, and to work towards preventing suicides in our community.

Together, we can make a difference. In honor of World Suicide Prevention Day on Tuesday, Sept. 10, we invite you to participate in our special event: Shine for Hope: Light Up for Suicide Prevention.

We encourage you to illuminate your outdoor space–whether it’s your porch, window, or yard–with lights starting at 8 p.m. By sharing a photo of your display on social media with the hashtag #ShineForHope2024, you’ll be helping us create a powerful, visible display of unity and support. Your participation not only honors lives lost but also supports those in need and raises awareness about the critical importance of mental health.

We hope you’ll invite your friends and family to join in, using the hashtag to spread our collective message of hope and solidarity. If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide, please remember that help is available.
