Wellsville gains EOAC championship

SALINEVILLE — Wellsville had five individual champions on the way to winning the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference wrestling tournament on Saturday at Southern Local High School.

The Tigers piled up 164 points, followed by United with 151 and Southern Local with 147.

Wellsville’s Jason Tice (126 pounds) and Caden Weekley (220) repeated as individual champions. They are joined this year by teammates Mason Simms (113), Brent Joy-Hughes (120) and Logan Cunningham (138).

Southern Local had three repeat winners — Chance Wooley (138), Dylan Milhoan (152) and Hunter Morris (182).
