MINERAL RIDGE -- Crestview has its sights on big things this season and it garnered yet another significant volleyball win as the Rebels dumped Mineral Ridge 25-22, 22-25, 27-25, 25-15 on Monday.
Crestview, ranked third in the Div. III state coaches poll, moved to 10-0 and hosts Liberty on Tuesday.
Mineral Ridge is 10-4.
For the Rebels, Abbey Each had 22 kills and seven digs. Grace Auer added 20 kills, 23 assists, a block, two aces and 18 digs. Lawny Auer had 13 kills, 21 assists, three blocks, an ace and 10 digs. Julia Blasko had three kills and 13 digs.
Mineral Ridge won the jayvee portion, 25-17, 25-18. Sophia Datillio had six kills.
Heartland 3,
East Palestine 1
COLUMBIANA -- Heartland Christian's volleyball team spiked East Palestine 18-25, 25-22, 25-13, 25-21 on Monday.
For Heartland, Addie Barrett had seven kills and six assists. Bella Drokin had five assists and eight digs. Julia Denny had 15 digs.
Heartland won the jayvee game, 25-9, 25-16. Hannah McPeek had six digs for Heartland. Kalleigh Shodd added four kills.
United 3, Poland 2
POLAND -- United's volleyball team bested Poland 23-25, 25-17, 26-24, 22-25, 16-14 on Monday.
For United, Zoee Smith had 25 kills, Grayson Kidder 10 points, Baylee Smith 47 digs and Aurianna Cusick seven kills.
Poland won the jayvee match, 25-18, 25-23. Kendll Erb had six points and three aces.
Toronto 3, Lisbon 0
TORONTO -- Lisbon ran into a buzzsaw in state-ranked Toronto as the Red Knights knocked off the Devils 25-16, 25-11, 25-13 on Monday.
For Lisbon (5-6), Eliza Baker had five points, four kills and 12 digs. Izzy Lannon had four kills and six digs. Maddie Marshalek had three kills and five blocks. Kyrstin Reckner had 13 digs.
Toronto is 11-0 and ranked 12th in the Div. IV state coaches' poll.
Lisbon is at Southern today.
Lisbon won the jayvee portion, 25-14, 25-19. Abby Ammon had 10 points for the Devils. Diamond Bailey added nine points.
Salem jayvees
MOGADORE -- Salem's jayvee team beat Field 25-21, 25-15 on Monday.
Cheyanne Buday had four aces and four assists for the Quakers.
