HUBBARD — Columbiana won the Div. III girls sectional golf tournament on Thursday by posting a team total 365 at Pine Lakes.

For the Clippers, Ellie Jackson placed second overall with an 86. Alyssa Kakavros added a 92, Hailey Muntean 93 and Maddie Jackson 94.

West Branch took third to qualify for district tournament set for Wednesday at Good Park Golf Course in Akron. For the Warriors, Katie Santee had a 91, Emma McLaughlin 103, Hayden Mesler 105 and Isabella Linger 108.

The top four teams and top four individuals not on a qualifying team advanced to the district.

Southern Local’s Kennedy Lewis was third overall with a 90 and is one of the four individual district qualifiers.

Things get tougher at the district as only the top two teams and two individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the state tournament.
