Branch hammers Alliance
BELOIT — West Branch’s girls basketball team handled a struggling Alliance team 66-2 on Wednesday.
Mati Hawk had 10 points to lead the winners, while Ellie Tucker, Audrey Eaton, Cailyn Fritz and Addison Reichenbach had seven points each for Warriors.
West Branch is 4-0 and 2-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference and will host Carrollton on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

CARROLLTON — Carollton’s girls basketball team edged Salem 34-31 on Wednesday.
Carrollton moves to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.
Salem fall to 2-1 and 1-1 in the EBC.
Abby Knickerbocker scored 12 points for the Quakers. Reese Davidson-Chuck added eight points.
Carrollton will travel to West Branch on Saturday evening in a battle for first place in the EBC.
Salem hosts Marlington Saturday afternoon.

Beaver Local led 46-12 at the half and cruised from there.
Tanner Guy had seven points for the Rebels.
