Payten Kekel was the winning pitcher with 11 strikeouts and five walks in five innings.

Kennedy Lewis had a home run with two RBIs for the Indians. Raelea Carosiello had a double.

Addy Martin had a strikeout and four walks in the loss.

United is 17-7 and 10-2 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. The Eagles are at Carrollton on Monday.

Southern fell to 7-11 and 4-6. The Indians host East Palestine for two on Saturday.

CARROLLTON — West Branch held off a Carrollton seventh inning rally for a 10-8 win on Friday.

Josie Milliken and Klary McKay had home runs for the winners. Addi Craven and Mati Hawk had doubles.

Ellie Tucker had five strikeouts and five walks in 3 1/3 innings for the win.

West Branch (17-5 and 10-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference) is at Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary’s on Saturday.

LISBON — East Palestine and Lisbon split a doubleheader on Friday night in Lisbon.

East Palestine won the first game 7-6 as it scored two runs in the top of the fifth to secure the victory.

Maddison Foster and Kara Lewis had triples for the Bulldogs. Graycee Ford had two hits and two RBIs.

Kennedy Andre was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts and three walks in five innings.

Lexi Roush had a single, double and two RBIs for Lisbon. Kamryn Peruchetti took the loss with seven strikeouts and a walk in five innings.

Lisbon won the second game 13-8 on the back of Abby Ammon’s three hits. Brooklyn Dailey added three hits and three RBIs. Peruchetti had a triple and Emelia Cook had a double.

Roush was the winning pitcher with a strikeout and three walks in 3 1/3 innings.

Taylor Foster had two hits and three RBIs for the Bulldogs. Andre added two hits and two RBIs.

Alivia Magness was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts and seven walks in 2 2/3 innings.

Lisbon is 9-14 and 4-6 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.
