East Palestine 201, Leetonia 241

NEGLEY — East Palestine knocked off Leetonia, 201-241, Thursday at the East Palestine Country Club.

East Palestine’s Luke Kinkead had the low score wtih a 48. Hunter Hupp added a 49, Olivia Snedeker 51 and Sydney Jurjavcic 53.

For Leetonia, Christian Kelly had a 54, Chase Bondi 58, Gary Henderson 63 and Emily West 66.

Columbiana 189, Py Valley 207

KINSMAN — Columbiana’s girls golf team improved to 10-0 on the season with a 189-207 victory over Pymatuning Valley on Thursday at Bronzewood Golf Club.

Alyssa Kakavros led the Clippers with a 45, followed by Nia Missos and Victoria Buckingham at 47 each. Claire Banner’s 50 closed out the scoring for Columbiana.

Pymatuning Valley was paced by McCamey Compan’s 49, while Raylynn Ballentine added a 50. McKenzie Kribbs (51) and Sadie Paul (57) rounded out the Lakers’ total.

Salem 177, Marlington 187

SALEM — A balanced effort across the lineup lifted Salem to a 177-187 victory over Marlington on Thursday at Salem Hills.

The Quakers were led by Tanner James, Eli James and Caden Arcuri, who each carded 44s. Vinnie Yannucci added a 45 to close out Salem’s scoring.

Marlington’s Ben Warner took medalist honors with a 37. Teammates Issac McIntyre (45), Logan Misch (51) and Trey Miller (54) contributed to the Dukes’ total.

With the win, Salem improved to 7-7 overall and 3-5 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

Salem will host West Branch on Sept. 4 at Salem Hills.

Hubbard 174, Columbiana 166

HUBBARD — Columbiana’s boys golf team suffered a 174-166 on Thursday at Pine Lakes.

For the Clippers, Trenton Hall had a 41, Geoffrey Malcolmson 43, David Masters 44 and Nick Klindworth 46.

Colten Smith led the winners with a 38.

Columbiana is 11-4.
