COLUMBIANA — Four United plaers scored goals in a 4-1 win over Columbiana in girls soccer action Thursday.

Kiley Hetherington, Natalie Shipley, Elli Powers and Bella Thompson scored goals for the Eagles, who improve to 3-3.

Kylie Holmes had an assist. Calee Ruthrauff made five saves.

Salem 7, Newton Falls 0

SALEM — Salem’s girls soccer team got two goals each from Karlie Sampson and Maddie Andres in a 7-0 win over Newton Falls on Thursday.

Ava Lee, Delaney Callahan and Paige Menough had goals as well.

Salem is 4-1 and will host Southeast on Saturday.

Kidron Central 4, United 0

HANOVERTON — Kidron Central Christian blanked United 4-0 on Thursday in boys soccer action.

Kidron Central moved to 5-0, while United is 1-5.

United is at Columbiana on Wednesday.

Kidron Central eliminated United from the tournament in the regional semifinals last season.

West Branch 3, Boardman 0

BELOIT — West Branch’s boys soccer team continued its hot start with a 3-0 win over Boardman on Thursday.

Gavin Clemens had two goals for the Warriors, while Reed Martucci added a goal and assist.

West Branch is 5-0 and will be at Minerva on Tuesday.
