Quakers gain win on the road

ALLIANCE — Salem earned an Eastern Buckeye Conference win Tuesday at Sleepy Hollow, defeating Alliance 170-190.

The Quakers were led by Caden Arcuri’s 41, followed closely by Tanner James (42), Cason Citino (43) and Eli James (44).

Alliance’s Jaymes Smith shot a team-low 43, while Ethan Jackson, Brock Runion and Hutson Woods each finished with a 49.

With the win, Salem moves to 6-7 overall and 2-5 in league play. The Quakers host Marlington on Thursday at Salem Hills.

Columbiana 156, Mineral Ridge 201

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s boys golf team was a 156-201 winner over Mineral Ridge on Tuesday at Valley.

For the Clippers, David Masters had a 37, Trenton Hall 39, Geoffrey Malcomson 40, Luke Struharik 40 and Roman Sanfrey 40.

Grant Wiscott led the Rams with a 50.

Columbiana (11-3) is at Hubbard on Thursday.

Crestview 181, Lisbon 199

GLENMOOR — Crestview’s golf team was a 181-199 winner over Lisbon on Tuesday at Historic Highlands.

For the Rebels, Braydon Gilbert had a 46, Caleb Booth 45, Derek Duvall 43 and Grant Snyder 47.

For Lisbon, Logan Sturgeon ahd a 43, Brady Chamerlain had a 50, Zach Johnson 52 and Aiden Myers 54.

West Branch 208, Marlington 209

ALLIANCE — West Branch’s girls golf team was a 208-209 winner over Marlington on Tuesday.

West Branch is 4-6 and 1-3 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

Isabella Linger again led the charge for the Warriors with a low round of 45. Katelyn Schank finished the day with a 49 while Emma McLaughlin scored a 55 and Erin Albert had a 59 for the Warriors.

West Branch is at Minerva today.
