Lisbon spikes Leetonia

LISBON — Leetonia scored the first point, but it was all Stafanee Stacey and the Lisbon Blue Devils after that.
Stacey served Lisbon’s first 14 points on the way to a 25-6, 25-7, 25-17 win over the Bears on Thursday.
The Blue Devils even their mark at 7-7 overall and 5-5 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. The Bears dropped their 38th consecutive match, falling to 0-11 on the season and 0-10 in the EOAC.
After Stacey served 14 points for a 14-1 lead in the first game, Marshalek followed with nine in a row for a 23-4 lead.
The Blue Devils jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the second game.
Stacey totaled 20 points with five aces and five kills. Maddie Marshalek had 12 points and eight kills, Abby Ammon nine points and six digs, Addison Anderson eight kills and Gionna Leningar six kills and two blocks.
Lisbon also swept the junior varsity match, 25-17, 25-8. For the Blue Devils, Aria Reckner had four kills, Chloe McCoy three kills, Olivia Smith two kills, Lilian Tenzek seven digs, Kyler Malone five aces and Gracyn Owens 10 assists and two aces.
Lisbon hosts Youngstown Ursuline on Monday, while Leetonia entertains Valley Christian on Tuesday.
Crestview 3, Southeast 0
COLUMBIANA — Crestview senior Sophia Stewart went over 1,000 assists in her career as Crestview knocked off Ravenna Southeast, 25-11, 25-5, 25-10, Thursday.
Stewart had four kills, 29 assists and three aces in the win. She now has 1,023 assists. Lainy Auer added 24 kills and five aces. Kerrigan Miller had three aces and 12 digs. Sophia Dattilio had six kills and two blocks. Val Boyd added eight digs and two aces.
Crestview –ranked fourth in the Division V state poll — is 14-0 and 10-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division. The Rebels have won 68 straight at home.
Crestview also won the jayvee portion, 25-11, 25-9. Makenna Ray had seven kills and five digs. Madeline English had four kills and three digs. Addison Finch had two kills, 13 assists and three aces.
The Rebels won the freshman match 25-10, 25-14. Jewlnetta Bradley had nine aces. Tori Griffith had four kills.
Crestview is at Brookfield on Tuesday.
United 3, Wellsville 0
HANOVERTON — United set the stage for its biggest match of the season by downing Wellsville, 25-16, 25-6, 25-16, in a varsity-only match Thursday.
The Eagles notched their seventh straight win to improve to 12-3 overall and 8-1 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. They will host unbeaten Columbiana on Tuesday with the league title on the line.
Baylee Smith totaled eight aces and six digs in Thursday’s win. Rileah Phillips had six kills and 15 assists and Chloe Angelo made eight blocks.
Wellsville lost its third in a row to drop to 3-10 overall and 2-6 in league play. The Tigers are scheduled to host Madonna on Monday.

Valley Christian 0
YOUNGSTOWN –Columbiana made it 13 wins in a row by sweeping Valley Christian, 25-7, 25-8, 25-6, Thursday.
The Clippers are 13-0 overall and 10-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference, one game ahead of United. The Clippers will play at Poland on Monday and at United on Tuesday.
Evy Rapp collected 16 points, three aces, eight kills and six digs for Columbiana. Hailee Gomoll contributed 10 points, five aces and two digs; Landry Smith nine points, four aces and 10 kills; Addisyn Dangler seven points, four aces and 10 kills; and Eva Waller four points, two kills and 23 assists.
Columbiana also won the junior varsity match, 25-7, 25-17. Ava Marks had nine points, eight aces, two kills and two digs and Slyvia Rapp nine points, five aces and two digs for the Clippers. Mika Montgomery added four points, two aces, four assists and two digs and Abby Barborak three aces, four kills and four assists.
West Branch 3, Alliance 0
ALLIANCE — West Branch’s volleyball team toppled Alliance 25-17, 25-23, 25-19 on Thursday.
Sisters Audrey and Aislyn Ring and Kendelle and Madi Hoopes led the Warriors. Audrey Ring had 12 kills, two points, five blocks and four digs; Aislyn Ring 11 points, seven aces, 15 assists and seven digs; Kendelle Hoopes seven kills, eight points, four aces and six digs; and Madi Hoopes eight kills, five blocks and three digs.
Also for the Warriors, Chloey Sanor had eight points, three aces and five digs; Abigail Janosik five points, three kills, two blocks and five digs.; Ellyana Biskup three points, 11 assists and eight digs; Cailyn Fritz four kills, three blocks and three digs; Sydney Lane seven digs.; Sydney Libb two kills, two blocks and four digs; and Neely Gruver two points.
West Branch is 10-6 and 6-2 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference. West Branch is at Carrollton on Tuesday.

SALEM –Carrollton’s volleyball team swept Salem 25-16, 25-19, 25-17 on Thursday.
Salem is 4-10 overall and 2-5 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.
Salem is at Marlington Tuesday.
Heartland 3, Steubenville CC 0
COLUMBIANA — Heartland Christian celebrated senior night with a sweep of Steubenville Catholic Central on Thursday.
The Lions (10-6) won 25-21, 25-7, 25-22 while honoring seniors Maddie Neville and Addie Barrett. Neville led with 14 kills, three aces and a block. Claire Liposky had eight kills and 11 digs, and Keagan Pruitt added seven kills, 20 digs and three aces. Capri Drokin finished with seven kills and a block.
Makenna Wilson paced the offense with 20 assists and four aces, while Kailey Haugen chipped in five aces and six digs.
Lisbon 3, Heartland 2
LISBON — Lisbon defeated Heartland 27-25, 25-20, 20-25, 26-28, 16-14 on Wednesday.
For Heartland, Keagan Pruitt led the way with 15 kills, 18 digs and three aces. Maddie Neville had 11 kills, 19 digs, five blocks and four aces, while Claire Liposky added 11 kills, 17 digs, four blocks and three aces. Capri Drokin contributed three kills and seven blocks. Makenna Wilson totaled 25 assists and 15 digs, and Emily McDowell had 16 assists, nine digs and five aces. Addie Barrett chipped in two aces.
