Quakers suffer first loss
SALEM — Salem’s boys soccer team suffered its first loss of the season as Poland shutout the Quakers 2-0 on Thursday.
Salem is 6-1-2, while Poland is 7-0-2.
The Quakers are at Carrollton on Tuesday.

BELOIT — The West Branch girls tennis team played for the fourth day in a row and blanked Alliance, 5-0, Thursday.
The Warriors improve to 4-6 overall and 2-2 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference. They will play Tuesday at Salem.

ALLIANCE — Marlington defeated Salem for the second time this season, 3-2, in girls tennis action Thursday.
The Quakers are 10-5 overall and 2-2 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference. They will play at East Palestine at 4 p.m. Monday.
