MASSILLON — West Branch finished 11th as a team on Monday at the Div. II sectional boys golf tournament at the Elms Country Club.

The top three teams and individuals not on a qualifying team advanced to the Div. II district tournament on Sept. 30 at Windmill Lakes.

Waynedale (321), Orrville (326) and Tuslaw (334) earned the three qualifying spots, while Akron Manchester’s Drew Mothersbaugh (79), Marlington’s Ben Warner (79) and South Range’s Jack Carey (79) earned the individual district berths.

The top district two teams and two individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the Div. II state tournament set for Oct. 6-7 at NCR Country Club South Course in Kettering.

ZANESVILLE — Minerva’s girls golf team won the Div. I sectional on Monday at Eagle Sticks with a 344.

For the Lions, Peyton Beaumariage won the tournament with a 79, while Emery Sell had an 83, Delaney Sell 87 and Mady Bartley 95.

East Liverpool’s Hadley Dobbins finished 37th (114).

The district tournament will be held on Oct. 2 at Lancaster Golf Club. The top three district teams and three individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the Div. I state tournament set for Oct. 12-13 at Akron Firestone Country Club’s Fazio Course.
