Suburban League takes to Poland course
POLAND — East Liverpool senior Maddox Roach is perfect in the Surburban League cross country season.
Roach won his second straight race by topping the field Tuesday at Poland Township Park.
His time of 16 minutes, 54 seconds was a minute better than runner-up Luke Warrick of Beaver Local.
The Beaver Local boys won the boys meet with 41, followed by Columbiana with 75.
Springfield freshman Alexandria Fiumara won the girls race in 21:43.
The Suburban League continues next Tuesday at Lordstown, Niles and Champion.

At Girard
GIRARD — McDonald sophomore Naomi Sheesley and Lowellville senior Nate Yon won their Suburban League races at Liberty Park on Tuesday.
Sheesley was first in the girls race in 20:59.5 in leading the Blue Devils to the team title with 15 points.
Yon captured the boys race in 17:55.3. The McDonald boys were first with 62 points, followed by Canfield with 69.
