COLUMBIANA — It’s no secret Lainy Auer has been Crestview’s top weapon this season.

The senior made it known again as she surpassed 1,000 kills in her career with 26 kills in the Rebels’ 25-11, 25-11, 25-8 win over Champion on Tuesday.

Auer has 1,010 kills in her career including 380 this season. She is averaging 7.6 kills per set. Auer also had three aces and six digs.

The Rebels (16-0 overall, 12-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division) also clinched a share of the league title. Both LaBrae and Garfield entered the night with two league losses.

Also for the Rebels, Sophia Stewart had 31 assists, two aces and six digs. Sophia Dattilio had six kills. Kerrigan Miller had four aces and nine digs. Valerie Boyd had five aces.

Crestview won the jayvee portion, 25-19, 25-11. Makenna Ray had six kills and 11 digs. Addison Finch chipped in 15 assists.

Crestview hosts Austintown Fitch today in match that will be televised live by MyYTV at 7 p.m.

United 3, Lisbon 1

LISBON — United bested Lisbon 27-25, 25-17, 24-26, 25-23 on Tuesday.

United is 14-4 and 10-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.

For the Golden Eagles, Aurianna Cusick had four aces, 12 points and four kills. Rileah Phillips added 16 digs and 23 assists. Megan Short had 15 digs and 10 points.

Stefanee Stacey paced the Blue Devils (9-10, 7-6) with 30 assists, four kills and 15 digs. Maddie Marshalek had 14 kills, 18 digs, 15 points and three aces. Abby Ammon added five kills and 18 digs, while Addison Anderson had 10 digs. Alayna Householder tallied six kills and nine digs. Gionna Lenigar contributed on both sides of the ball, and Kylyn Boyd anchored the passing game with five points and two aces.

In junior varsity play, United won 25-14, 25-16.

For the Eagles, Miley Pitts had 14 points and four aces. Brennan Ritchie had eight points and three aces.

For the Devils, Gracyn Owens had five kills, eight assists and two aces. Delaney Pickens added three kills. Lexi Roush posted five points and five digs, and Aria Reckner collected five digs, three assists, five points and two aces. Johanna Ford tallied eight digs, while Lilian Tenzek had a strong passing game. Sydney Tremmel chipped in two kills and two assists.

United is at Valley Christian on Thursday.

Lisbon is at East Palestine on Thursday.

Southern 3, Leetonia 0

LEETONIA — Southern Local defeated Leetonia 25-12, 25-6, 25-16 on Tuesday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.

For the Indians (10-7, 8-5), Haylee Kellogg had 17 points, five kills and 14 assists. Allyssa Shroades had 10 points, 14 assists and six kills. Katie Kellogg had 14 kills, while Natalia Lopez added five kills. Kalayah Crute added seven kills. Brooke Boyle had five digs.

Southern won the jayvee portion, 25-8, 25-13. Mary Beadnell had 12 points, while Eliana Forbes had 14 points. Chloe Ensinger had five kills.
