Salem stings Minerva
MINERVA — Salem’s football team marched to a 48-17 victory over Minerva on Friday night.
The Quakers improved to 4-3 and 1-1 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.
Brandon Kana led the Quakers with 12 carries for 112 yrds and three touchdowns. Cletis Monroy added six rushes for 78 yards. Through the air, Monroy completed 10 of 13 passes for 121yards and two touchdowns. Bairon Exline caught six balls for 84 yards and two touchdowns.
Salem will be at Carrollton next Friday, while Minerva (4-3, 0-2) is at Marlington on Friday.
The Quakers have won 11 straight over Minerva dating back to 2015. Salem leads the overall series 16-5.

Lisbon 49, Wellsville 6
LISBON — Lisbon churned out 443 yards of offense in a 49-6 win over Wellsville on Friday.
Lisbon was led by Ashton Hinchliffe’s eight rushes for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Blue Devil quarterback Grant Minor completed nine passes of 12 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Minor also had a rushing touchdown.
Hinchliffe had two catches for 112 yards and a touchdown on the receiving end. Wyatt Newbold had three catches for 38 yards and a touchdown, while Devin Kelly had a 19-yard touchdown catch and three rushes for 68 yards and a touchdown. Nick Peruchetti also threw a 38-yard touchdown.
The game marked the first time Wellsville coach Jim Tsilimos, a longtime Lisbon coach, coached on the opposing sideline at War Memorial Stadium.
The Devils are 4-3 and 2-2 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. Lisbon is at Southern next Friday.
Wellsville is 0-7 and 0-4 in the EOAC. The Tigers are at Columbiana next Friday.

BELOIT –West Branch buried Marlington with a 62-0 win on Friday at Clinton Heacock Stadium.
The Warriors are 6-1 and 2-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference. Marlington is 3-4 and 0-2 in the league.
Grady Hirst passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns for the Warriors. Gavin Gregory caught two touchdown passes, while Drake Stryffeler rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns, while also having a 26-yard touchdown catch.
Five Warriors had rushing touchdowns.
West Branch outgained the Dukes 425 to 61.
Hirst, Zach Coffee and Carson Wike had interceptions. Coffee also had a fumble recovery.
West Branch will host Alliance next Friday.
