Branch, Salem eliminated
BOARDMAN — Salem’s Meadow Anderson and Hadley Carlisle and West Branch’s Audry Miner won their opening singles matches before being eliminated from the Division II sectional tennis tournament on Tuesday.
The West Branch doubles team of Leah Irey and Abigail Carver also won their opener.
The singles matches were held at Boardman High School and the doubles matches at Struthers High School.

Meadow Anderson (Salem) def. Haley Holland (Liberty), 6-0, 6-0; lost to Hadley Moser (Canfield) 6-0, 6-0.
Hadley Carlisle (Salem) def. Brooke Raymond (CVCA) 6-2, 2-6, (10-7); lost to Grace Reichard (Ursuline) 7-5, 6-0.
Memphis Haueter (Salem) lost to Lily Siemen (CVCA) 7-5, 6-1.
Audry Miner (West Branch) def. Mariah Hartley (Crestwood), 6-0, 6-1; lost to Sisi Nallari (Canfield) 6-0, 6-0.
Cailyn Brink (West Branch) lost to Miranda Timko (Southeast) 6-2, 6-2.
Annabelle McGuire (West Branch) lost to Makayla Flores (Southeast) 6-6, 6-4.

Leah Irey-Abigail Carver (West Branch) def. Olivia Snecker-Emily Fowler (East Palestine) 6-1, 6-2; lost to Carolina Sherry-Natalie Kemble (Southeast) 6-2, 6-4.
Devin Shafer-Haylee Foor (Salem) lost to Dawn Hickman-Olivia Johnson (Niles) 6-7 (3), 7-6 (4), (10-4).
Eva Minto-Grace Zellers (Salem) lost to Caroline Sherry-Natalie Kemble (Southeast) 6-4, 6-2.
