Ceresna leads United boys
United’s Abram Ceresna scored a game-high 15 points in a 48-36 win over Southern in boys basketball action Tuesday. He was incorrectly identified in Wednesday’s edition.
Crestview sweeps Campbell
SALEM — The Crestview bowling teams swept Campbell at Hunt Club Lanes on Wednesday.
The Crestview boys won, 2373-1671, as Brody Brubaker had a 243 game and 437 series. Peyton Mellott added a 352 series and Milton Scott a 343 series.
Noah Hamilton paced Campbell with a 182 game and 362 series.
The Crestview girls also won, 1712-1038. Blasey Biser led the Rebels with a 177 game and 348 series. Kylee Wolfe had a 311 series and Lyv Barnett a 237 series.
For Campbell, Sabina Sheerer had a 168 game and 296 series.
Minerva tops United boys bowlers
MINERVA — The Minerva boys bowling team topped United, 2224-1820, Wednesday at the Minerva Bowl.
Austin Ailing had games of 193-213 for a 405 series to lead the Lions. Parker Eckestein had games of 180-190 for a 370 series and Kendrik Keister had a 193 game and 352 series.
Josh Hawkins led the Eagles with games of 198-205 for a 403 series.
United girls roll to victory
MINERVA — The United girls bowling team captured a 1553-1509 victory over Minerva at the Minerva Bowl on Wednesday.
Mikenna Bailey paced the Eagles with a 172 game and 299 series. Lauren Painter added a 139 game, Zariah Elrod a 138 game and Michelle Bryan a 135 game.
For the Lions, Rylan Klitz had a 191 game and a 288 series. Kayden Holcomb had a 158 game and 283 series and Alexis Gonzalez a 150 game and 283 series.
