AUSTINTOWN — Oak Glen’s Alexandra Watkins came away with a pin in 56 seconds of Claymont’s Melody Parish to win the 155-pound title on Friday at the Austintown Fitch Girls Wrestling Tournament.

Watkins was the only area winner of her respective weight class.

Salem’s Paige Menough reached the 140-pound final but was defeated in an 11-1 major decision by Steubenville’s Talea Guntream.

United’s Myla French took third at 115 after a 5:09 pin of Poland’s Gina Berardi in the consolation final. West Branch’s Grace Bates was also third at 170 after she pinned Hubbard’s Adora Hale in 20 seconds.

West Branch’s Abiail Benner was fourth at 145 after she was pinned by Lake’s Evangelica Coblenz in 3:23 in the consolation final.

At 190, United’s Hadleigh Taylor was third and Allison Neff was fourth.
