Salem struggles at home
SALEM –Alliance overwhelmed Salem with 47 points in the second half to run away with a 73-40 win on Friday in Eastern Buckeye Conference play.
Alliance was led by Richard Jackson Jr.’s 19 points. The Aviators are 11-2 overall and 4-1 in the EBC.
Jack Andres had 15 points and five rebounds for the Quakers (2-9, 0-6). Ty Manion added 11 points and four rebounds.
Salem hosts United on Tuesday.

COLUMBIANA –Cooper Brown had 27 points and 11 rebounds as Columbiana posted a 67-50 win over Leetonia on Friday.
Senator Johnson backed up Brown with 19 points.
The Clippers moved to 11-2 overall and 8-1 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. The Clippers share the league lead with Lisbon.
For the Bears (3-11, 2-7), Ethan Mathia had 18 points. Dylan Johns added 14 points.
Columbiana won the jayvee game, 33-6. Carter Griffith and Brennan Murphy had seven points each for the Clippers. Aiden Hunter had five points for Leetonia.
Columbiana is at Struthers on Tuesday.
Leetonia will host Urban Scholars on Tuesday.

For East Palestine (1-10, 1-8), R.J. May had 11 points and three steals. Drew Bycroft added five points and nine boards. Brad Bartels had five points, four rebounds and four steals.
East Palestine won the jayvee game, 40-31. Kealin Simon had 11 points for the Bulldogs. Mason Gorby added 10 points.
East Palestine hosts Lowellville today.
