YSU women’s basketball: The few and the loud

YOUNGSTOWN -- On a day suitable more for real penguins, the Youngstown State University women's basketball team scored a 61-38 win over Cleveland State on Sunday afternoon.

Only 30 fans made it to Beeghly Center after most heeded warnings to stay at home due to the winter storm that brought more than 10 inches of snow.

YSU sophomore Sophia Gregory, who was an All-Ohioan at West Branch High School, totaled a game-high 10 rebounds and six assists along with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting, three steals and three blocks in 34 minutes.

Youngstown State (14-7) will play at Detroit Mercy (4-16) at 7 p.m. Thursday.
