Leetonia routs Sebring
Leetonia 55, Sebring 23
LEETONIA — Ethan Mathia scored 19 of his game-high 23 points in the first half in leading Leetonia past Sebring, 55-21, in boys basketball action Thursday.
The Bears led 33-15 at halftime and held the Trojans to six points in the second half.
Jason King added 11 points and Dylan Johns 10 to the winning effort.
Leetonia improves to 6-15, while Sebring drops to 0-19. The Trojans have lost 21 games in a row and 46 of their last 50 games.
Leetonia also won the junior varsity game, 13-10, in two quarters. Aiden Hunter led the Bears with six points.
Both teams play Friday with Leetonia at Jackson-Milton and Sebring at Waterloo.
