By From Staff Reports 5 min read

COLUMBIANA -- Four Crestview players scored baskets in the opening 1:48 and the Rebels were off and running Tuesday.

The top-seeded Rebels ran past 31-seeded Cleveland Collinwood, 83-9, in a Division V district semifinal.

That puts Crestview (22-2) into the district final for the fourth straight year as they play seventh-seeded Chagrin Falls (15-9) at 7 p.m. Saturday at Peninsula Woodridge High School. Chagrin Falls advanced by downing 13th-seeded Ravenna Southeast, 53-42, Tuesday.

All nine players scored for Crestview, which was led by Addison Rhodes with 21 of her game-high 25 points in the first half. Ava Bucey added 14 points, Karli Perry 12, Brianna Baker 10 and Katie MacKay and Makenna Ray each had eight. Kerrigan Miller, Piper Harvey and Lilli Neese also had baskets.

The Rebels scored early and often.

It took only 18 second for Rhodes to get a steal and layup. Miller had a fastbreak layup off a Perry pass, Baker scored off an offensive rebound and Bucey followed with a fastbreak layup off a Rhodes pass to give the Rebels an 8-0 lead only 1:48 into the contest.

The Rebels scored the first 25 points -- including 10 points and two assists from Rhodes -- and led 29-2 after the first period. Bucey added eight points.

Crestview led 55-6 at halftime and 71-6 through three quarters.

The Railroaders managed only two baskets on a pair of three-pointers Caylee Claypoole in the last three quarters.

Collinwood finishes the season with a 2-12 record, both wins coming by forfeit.

The Railroaders averaged 7.9 points a game this season, while Rhodes is averaging 31.7 herself.
