Landen Heffner had a triple and single with an RBI for Southern.

Mason Pitts took the loss with six strikeouts and eight walks in five innings.

Columbiana is 6-7 and 4-1 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.

Southern is 3-7 overall and 3-4 in the league.

Kealin Simon had a double and two singles with four RBIs for the winners.

Luke Kinkead had three hits and two RBIs, while Brad Bartels and Steve Telischak had two hits and an RBI.

Samuel Falk took the loss for the Bears with five walks and a strikeout in three innings.

East Palestine (3-6 overall and 2-5 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference) is at Leetonia on Wednesday.

COLUMBIANA — Crestview rallied for three runs in the seventh inning but it wasn’t enough as Champion posted an 8-5 win on Monday in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division play.

Wyatt Ervin led the Rebels with three hits and an RBI.

Caleb Booth took the loss with a walk and a strikeout over one inning.

Crestview is 6-4 overall and 4-3 in the MVAC Gray.

The Rebels will be at Champion on Wednesday.

UNITY — East Palestine’s softball team got three hits including a triple and three RBIs from Destiney Burtyk in a 10-4 win over Leetonia on Monday.

Kennedy Andre had a double as well. Graycee Ford added a hit and two RBIs.

Andre got the win in the circle with 12 strikeouts and two walks.

Addi Gray had two hits and an RBI for the Bears.

Laniya Dubose took the loss with five strikeouts and eight walks in six innings.

East Palestine is 5-7 overall and 4-5 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.

The Bulldogs are at Leetonia on Wednesday.

Eisenbraun was the winning pitcher as she struck out seven and walked none in four innings.

Realea Carosiello had a double for the Indians.

Addison Anderenok was the losing pitcher as she gave up 14 earned runs and one walk.

Columbiana (8-3 overall and 6-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference) is at Lisbon today.

COLUMBIANA — Crestview’s softball team hung with powerhouse Champion early on Monday but the Flashes turned it on late for a 21-2 win.

Addison Finch had a triple for the Rebels. Gia Depace had a hit and an RBI.

Champion hit two home runs.

Makayla McKee took the loss with seven earned runs, two walks and four strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.

Champion is 5-4 and 3-1 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division.

Crestview fell to 7-4 and 6-3 in the MVAC. The Rebels are at Champion today.
