Southeast caught in Warriors’ Webb

WEST BRANCH 9, SOUTHEAST 5

BELOIT — West Branch rallied from a 4-0 deficit in the third inning to beat Ravenna Southeast, 9-5, Tuesday.

Gavyn Webb had three hits and scored two runs for the Warriors. Grayden Grimm collected a double, a single and three RBIs. Carter Thrasher also doubled.

Carson Wike got the victory in relief, allowing one run in four innings. He gave up three hits and struck out three.

West Branch improves to 11-13, while Southeast drops to 16-6.

COLUMBIANA 20, LEETONIA 1

LEETONIA — Avery Young and Drennen Bosela combined on a no-hitter and Columbiana scored 11 runs in the fourth inning to beat Leetonia, 20-1, in five innings Tuesday.

Young allowed an unearned run with six strikeouts and one walk in 2 1/3 innings for the victory. Bosela had six strikeouts and one walk in 2 2/3 innings.

Columbiana improves to 10-15 overall and finished the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference at 8-4. Leeonia is 6-12 and 3-9 in the EOAC.

Eight Columbiana players got hits with Bosela getting a double, a single and three RBIs. Sam Inboden drove in four runs, Young had three hits and scored three runs, Rocco Mediate had two hits and Ethan Lehnerd doubled.

Dylan Brown scored Leetonia’s only run in the first inning on a grounder by Jason King.

Columbiana will host Lowellville today.

CRESTVIEW 12, JACKSON-MILTON 4

NORTH JACKSON — Wyatt Ervin went 4-for-4 and accounted for eight runs and Grant Snyder also went 4-for-4 in leading Crestview past Jackson-Milton, 12-4, Tuesday.

Ervin drove in five runs with a triple, a double and two singles and scored three runs.

Kyle Booth scored three runs and Braidy Willis doubled.

Logan Neff got the victory, allowing an unearned run on three hits in four innings. He struck out two and walked one.

Crestview improves to 14-10. Jackson-Milton drops to 5-11.

BADGER 5, EAST PALESTINE 1

UNITY — Michael Waybright tossed a three-hitter in leading Badger past East Palestine, 5-1, Tuesday.

Ernie Cunningham went 3-for-4 and scored two runs for Badger. Tyler McWilliams hit a double.

Clark Rutledge singled and scored the Bulldogs’ run in the first inning. Luke Kinkead and Peyton Rutledge also singled.

Badger improves to 10-7, while East Palestine drops to 10-12.

WATERLOO 8, HEARTLAND 7

ATWATER — Wade Wori walked and later scored on an error with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Heartland Christian, 8-7, Tuesday.

Trevor Flarida led Waterloo with a home run, a double, a single and three RBIS. Mason Blitz scored three runs.

Heartland had five hits, including a double and three RBIs by Evan Farrell. Jacob Goehring also doubled.

Waterloo improves to 5-14, while Heartland drops to 10-13.
