Clippers’ Waller goes over 1,000 assists

COLUMBIANA -- Columbiana’s Eva Waller recorded her 1,000th career assist in the Clippers’ 25-11, 25-10, 25-23 win over Lisbon on Tuesday.
Waller had 29 assists and four points in the win as the Clippers move to 12-0 and 8-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.
Landry Smith added 12 kills, five aces and 12 points. Addisyn Dangler had 10 kills and four points. Keagan Pruitt had 12 points, nine digs, three kills and three aces. Ava Marks had four kills, seven points and seven digs.
For Lisbon, Alayna Householder had six kills. Gionna Lenigar added four kills. Addison Anderson had six points, while Hannah Davis had eight digs. Aria Reckner had five digs.
Columbiana’s jayvees won 25-13, 25-12. Adelaide Garrett had 14 points, two aces, five assists and six digs. Briley Schmidt had seven aces, four assists, nine points and two digs. Sylvia Rapp had three kills, three points and seven digs. Keegan Reynolds had seven digs.
For Lisbon, Gracyn Owens had nine assists, while Johanna Ford had seven digs.
Columbiana hosts Wellsville on Thursday. Lisbon is at Valley on Thursday.

ALLIANCE -- Salem’s volleyball team bested Alliance in four sets on Tuesday.
The Quakers are 10-5 and 5-2 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.
Salem hosts Marlington on Thursday.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Abby Knickerbocker had 26 kills and 25 digs in Salem’s four set loss against Ursuline on Monday.
Macey Troy added 21 assists and 10 digs. Aniya Jones had four kills and 21 digs.
Salem’s jayvees lost in two sets. Brinsley Witherspoon had three aces, three kills and four digs. Reese Winner had seven digs and six assists.
CRESTVIEW 3, LABRAE 0
LEAVITTSBURG -- Crestview’s volleyball team recorded a 25-15, 25-16, 25-20 win over LaBrae on Tuesday to move to 10-1 overall and 7-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division.
For the Rebels, Bella Ciapala had 18 kills. Sarah Hively had eight kills. Sophia Noling had eight kills. Sophia Noling had six kills, two blocks and three aces. Kerrigan Miler had 12 digs and four aces. Haley Boano had 17 digs. Cam Davidson chipped in 20 assists and two kills.
The Rebel jayvees moved to 11-0 with a 25-6, 25-11 win. Tori Griffith had two kills. Jewlnetta Bradley added three kills and seven aces. Makenna Ray had four kills and nine aces.
Crestview will be at Liberty on Thursday.
UNITED 3, HEARTLAND 0
HANOVERTON -- Lily Erb had 10 points and 12 digs, while Maelee Smith had five kills and three blocks in United’s 25-15, 25-15, 25-20 win over Heartland on Tuesday.
Baylee Smith had 10 digs.
United won the jayvee portion, 25-10, 25-15. Gwyndalen Haynes had 11 points, eight aces and five digs. Gracelyn Simmons had 10 points and five aces.
United is 10-2 and will play at Southern on Thursday.
EAST PALESTINE 3, VALLEY 0
EAST PALESTINE -- East Palestine’s volleyball team was a 25-5, 25-12, 25-11 winner over Valley Christian on Tuesday.
East Palestine is 10-4, while Valley fell to 0-12.
The Bulldogs head to Oak Glen on Saturday.
Destiney Burtyk had 10 kills, six digs, 13 points and seven aces. Kennedy Andre had 18 assists, 13 points and six points. Marley Blythe had three kills and eight digs. Cadence Vargo had seven points and four aces. Violet Glavan had five points and three kills.
