CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Salem sophomore Addison Hopple finished sixth and junior Alex Rea was 14th at the Pat Ritchie Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
Rea had a personal-best 16 minutes, 48.57 seconds on the 3.1-mile course at Walsh Jesuit High School.
The top five runners for the Salem boys ran 17:30 or better as they finished third out of 19 teams with 116 points.
Right behind Rea was Luke Stephens in 15th, Taven Tice 25th, Colton Hall 30th and Jackson Dowd 43rd.
Hopple was sixth in the girls race (18:51.21). The Quakers finished out of 22 teams with 183 points.
