YOUNGSTOWN -- Crestview’s volleyball team bounced Liberty 25-9, 25-21, 25-11 on Thursday.
The Rebels moved to 11-1 overall and 8-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division.
Bella Ciapala had 14 kills for the winners. Kerrigan Miller had 11 digs and three aces. Addison Finch added three aces and seven digs. Madison Keyser and Sarah Hively had four kills each. Sophia Noling had six kills. Phiatra Bradley had four kills while Cam Davidson had 13 assists.
Crestview hosts Boardman on Saturday.
MARLINGTON 3, SALEM 1
SALEM -- Marlington handed Salem a 25-12, 25-13, 18-25, 25-13 loss on Thursday in Eastern Buckeye Conference action.
Salem is 10-6 and 5-3 in the EBC. Marlington moved to 8-6 and 6-2 in the league.
Salem hosts Struthers on Monday.
COLUMBIANA 3, WELLSVILLE 0
WELLSVILLE -- Columbiana’s volleyball team edged closer to the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference title with a 25-16, 25-18, 25-6 win over Wellsville on Thursday.
The Clippers are 13-0 and 9-0 in the EOAC. Columbiana is also second in Class 3A of the OVAC. Wellsville is 6-8 and 3-5 in the EOAC.
For Columbiana, Landry Smith had 10 kills and six points. Eva Waller had 23 assists and 18 points. Addisyn Dangler had seven kills and six points. Ava Marks had six kills, six points and five digs. Keagan Pruitt had four kills and seven points. Adelaide Garrett had nine points and four digs.
For Wellsville, Aleena Owens had three kills and six digs. Madie Drysdale had four kills, five assists and six blocks. Kenzie Bosco had four kills. Ella Betz had five digs. Jonnah Sear had seven assists and four digs.
Columbiana
Wellsville is at United on Tuesday. The Clippers host Girard on Monday.
UNITED 3, SOUTHERN 0
SALINEVILLE -- United’s volleyball team spiked Southern Local 25-10, 25-7, 25-12 on Thursday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.
Rileah Phillips had 12 aces and 15 assists for the Eagles. Kendall Erb added five kills and four digs. Chloe Angelo had four kills and three blocks.
United is 11-2 and 7-1 in the EOAC.
United won the jayvee match, 25-23, 25-18. Gracelyn Simmons had 12 points, three aces, five kills and five digs. Adrianna Zane-Beadnell had seven points, five aces and four digs.
LISBON 3, VALLEY CHRISTIAN 0
LISBON -- Lisbon’s volleyball team defeated Valley Christian 25-14, 25-14, 25-9 on Thursday.
Addy Anderson led Lisbon with nine kills, six aces and three digs. Lilly Lipply added six kills and three aces while Gionna Lenigar had five kills and three aces.
Alayna Householder recorded four kills and four aces, and Aria Reckner added four aces. Bridget Newbold finished with 21 assists, while Hannah Davis had six digs.
Lisbon 4-11 and 2-7 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.
Lisbon also won the junior varsity match 25-17, 25-5.
Gray Owens had five kills and 10 aces, while Kyler Malone added six kills and four aces. Harley Spencer had 10 assists and four aces.
Lisbon hosts Toronto on Monday.
