NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Westminster College senior volleyball player Zoie Reid, a Salem High School graduate, is seeing regular playing time this season.
The 5-foot-7 outside hitter/defensive specialist has played in 23 sets, totaling 55 kills and 18 digs. Her average of 2.37 kills per set is second on the team.
The Titans (5-4) will play at Mount Union at 7 p.m. today.
CLIPPERS 18-0
COLUMBIANA -- Three Columbiana golfers shot in the 30s Tuesday in a 153-158 win over Youngstown Mooney at Valley.
The Clippers improve to 18-0 heading into the OVAC Tournament on Thursday.
David Masters led the Clippers with a 36. Luke Struharik had a 37, Trenton Hall 39 and Nick Klindworth 41.
For Mooney, Tyler Guerrieri had a 35, Michael Kravec 40, Andrew Bushey 41 and Mason McCure 42
LIONS ROAR
PARIS, Ohio -- The Minerva girls golf team won the Triple County League Tournament by 42 shots over Alliance at Pleasant View on Tuesday.
The Lions shot a 353 to top the 13-team tournament. Alliance was second with 395 and West Branch third with 397.
Minerva junior Peyton Beaumariage was the tournament champion with an 18-hole score of 81. Also for the Lions, sophomore Emery Sell was third (88) and senior Delaney Sell and sophomore Savanna Bartley tied for fifth (92).
West Branch senior Zoe Metzger was seventh (93) and West Branch junior Emma McLaughlin was 14th (99) and West Branch senior Katelyn Schank was 23trd (104).

BEREA (AP) -- Dylan Sampson was placed on injured reserve by the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday.
The second-year running back injured his left knee during the first quarter of last Sunday’s 34-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Sampson will miss a minimum of four games. He could be eligible to return before the Browns host the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 18.
Sampson is the second running back, behind Quinshon Judkins, as well as being one of the team’s kick returners. Raheim “Rocket” Sanders took Sampson’s place on kick returns and had a 74-yard return during the third quarter to set up Andre Szmyt’s 26-yard field goal.
Cleveland signed Jaleel McLaughlin off the practice squad to take Sampson’s place. McLaughlin was with Denver the past three seasons.
DANGEROUS DRIVER
(AP) -- Former England forward Raheem Sterling admitted dangerous driving on Tuesday after being involved in a collision on a highway.
Sterling pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court to driving his Lamborghini Urus dangerously before he crashed on the M3 in southern England on May 28.
No other vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported, officials previously said.
The 31-year-old also admitted possession of six nitrous oxide canisters for wrongful inhalation, a class C drug, and failing to provide a specimen.
Sterling, who scored 20 goals in 82 appearances for England, is currently without a club. He has played for a number of England’s top teams -- Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal -- and was at Dutch club Feyenoord on a short-term deal last season.
WVU COACH IN TROUBLE
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -- West Virginia assistant football coach Noel Devine was booked into jail on a felony strangulation charge Sunday, records show.
Devine, 38, was arrested by Morgantown police. A not guilty plea was entered and Devine was ordered held in lieu of $40,000 bail in the North Central Regional Jail.
Monongalia County Magistrate Court records didn’t provide details on the arrest and jail records didn’t indicate whether Devine has an attorney who could comment on the charges on his behalf.
Devine has been placed on leave from the team, West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez said in a statement Sunday night.
“Any future decision on his status will be determined after more information becomes available,” Rodriguez said.
Devine faces a preliminary hearing on Sept. 23.
He was a three-year starter at running back for the Mountaineers. He compiled 19 100-yard rushing games and had more than 1,000 all-purpose yards in all four seasons from 2007-10.
Devine was hired by Rodriguez in 2025 as an offensive analyst and assistant running backs coach.
West Virginia is 2-0 after beating UT Martin 52-7 on Saturday in Morgantown. The Mountaineers play No. 25 Virginia (2-0) in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday night.
