ANDOVER — Southern senior Maddy Jones and United sophomore Taylor Simmons are aiming for more than a district championship. Both won events at the Pymatuning Valley Division IV district track and field meet Wednesday. Jones — who qualified for state in the shot put and discus last year and in the discus as a freshman — won the district shot put title with a toss of 37-feet-1 on her first attempt.
