Eagles hammer Indians
SALINEVILLE — United continued its assualt on the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference with 12-0 and 14-3 wins over Southern on Monday.
In the first game, Callie Koons had four hits including two doubles with an RBI, while Chloe Angelo had four hits including a double, home run and two RBIs in the Eagle victory. Madison Aegerter, who had a double and two RBIs, was the winning pitcher with 14 strikeouts and two walks in five innings.
Makenna Jones had a double for the Indians. Addison Anderenok was the losing pitcher with no strikeouts and three walks in five innings.
In the second game, Josie Wargo had a home run, double and two RBIs to lead the Eagles. Angelo had three doubles with an RBI. Koons had a hit and three RBIs. Brittany Miller and Brinsley Hiscox had two hits each.
Aagerter was the winning pitcher with nine strikeouts and no walks in 3 2/3 innings.
United (11-2, 8-0 in the EOAC) has four remaining league games left including a doubleheader with Wellsville on April 27 and games against Columbiana on May 4 and May 6.
Southern (5-7, 3-4 in the EOAC) is at St. Thomas today.

COLUMBIANA — Morgan Muncy had two home runs, a double and three RBIs in Southeast’s 9-2 win over Crestview on Monday.
Makayla McKee had a home run, single and two RBIs for the Rebels. She also was the losing pitcher as she struck out three and walked two in four innings.
Crestview (7-2) will be at Southeast today.

LISBON — Kennedy Andre had three hits including a double with five RBIs in East Palestine’s 12-1 win over Lisbon on Monday.
Sydney Jurjavcic had a single, double and an RBI for the winners.
In the circle, Andre had three strikeouts, no walks and one earned run.
Abby Ammon had a triple for Lisbon.
Kamryn Peruchetti was the losing pitcher as she struck out nine, walked four and had three earned runs in five innings.
Lisbon (2-8, 1-4 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference) hosts East Canton today.
East Palestine (3-4 and 3-4 in the EOAC) is at Toronto today.

COLUMBIANA –Columbiana scored a doubleheader sweep of Wellsville on Monday at Firestone Park.
The Clippers won the first game 6-0 in five innings thanks to Kyla Hogan’s three hits including a double. Callahan Ward added two hits and two RBIs. Natalie Barrow and Reagan Bell had doubles.
Ella Eisenbraun was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and a walk over eight innings.
Makayla Landess took the loss with four strikeouts, no walks and three strikeouts.
In the second game, the Clippers pounded out 12 hits in a 15-1 win in five innings.
Landry Smith had two hits including a double with three RBIs. Bell had three hits and an RBI. Josie Hepler had a single and double. Barrow had a double and an RBI.
Bell was the winning pitcher as she limited the Tigers to three hits while striking out six and walking one in three innings.
Madelyn Landess had a double and was the losing pitcher with a strikeout and four walks in four innings.
Columbiana is 6-2 and 4-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. The Clippers will host Mathews today.
Wellsville is 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the EOAC. The Tigers will host Steubenville Catholic Central on Friday.

LEETONIA — Youngstown East had just enough to get by Leetonia in an 11-9 victory on Monday.
Addi Gray had three hits for Leetonia. Kierstin Evans chipped in a double, single and two RBIs. Payton Gray had a triple and single. Aubrey Knight had a triple. Laniya Dubose had a double.
Carli Simms had 10 strikeouts and 11 walks in six innings for the Bears.
