SRMC Holiday Tree Raffle

Salem Regional Medical Center’s (SRMC) Employee Engagement Committee is sponsoring a Holiday Tree Raffle Dec. 8 through 12. The public is invited to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of several unique holiday trees decorated by SRMC staff. The trees will be displayed in SRMC’s Cafeteria, and raffle tickets will be sold in the Cafeteria for $1 each or six for $5 on the following dates and times: Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Dec. 9 through 12 from 7 to 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Winners will be drawn on Dec. 12. Holiday Healing Christmas service

First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., Columbiana, will host a Holiday Healing, A Blue Christmas Service, sponsored by The HUB, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11. The event is a Christmas themed worship service for those entering the holidays bearing grief and/or finding hope, joy and peace elusive. It includes scripture readings, carols, candles, prayers of hope and space to remember those who have passed. Children welcome. The HUB welcomes all participants and their stories regardless of religious tradition, race, class, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or political leaning. Journey tribute band at the CAT

AtTheCat.com will host a special Valentine’s Day performance by E5C4P3 – The Journey Tribute, Saturday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. at The Columbiana Arts Theater, 5 N. Main St. Celebrating over 30 years as one of the world’s longest-running and most respected Journey tribute acts, E5C4P3 (“Escape”) continues to deliver the soaring vocals, powerful musicianship, and electrifying stage presence that Journey fans know and love. Formed in 1993 and honoring the legendary band’s iconic album spelling, E5C4P3 remains the first and best Journey tribute group to ever take the stage. Fronted by the incomparable Jason Kelty, whose unmistakable “Steve Perry” vocal style has captivated audiences for decades, E5C4P3 performs Journey’s greatest hits with stunning note-for-note accuracy and heartfelt passion. Their concerts recreate the magic, sound, and high-energy experience of Journey’s early-’80s prime–complete with the look and feel that fans remember.

‘Sounds of the Season’ in Lisbon

“Sounds of the Season,” a festival of Christmas music, sponsored annually by the Lisbon Music Study Club, will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14 at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church.

The traditional holiday offering will feature several musical groups from the area. Those include Tapestries of Ohio, the Village Singers, the choir and bell choir from New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, the Hanoverton-Bethesda Presbyterian choir, the Keller family singers, the East Fairfield United Methodist Church Choir, Spencer Crosser on organ, Bill Young on flugelhorn accompanied by interpretive dance, and a chorus from the Lisbon Music Study Club.

All participants will join for three combined numbers, and the audience will be invited to join in a Carol sing accompanied by brass and organ. The concert is free and open to the public. A collection will be taken to help with the club’s support of the local schools’ music programs.
