Wine about Winter
The Lisbon Area Chamber of Commerce will host its eighth annual Wine About Winter from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 28. The event will feature an afternoon of wine tasting, non-alcoholic drinks, appetizers, basket raffle and wine pull in historic downtown. Pre-sale tickets are $15 at the chamber office and Eventbrite ($2.85 service fee). Tickets are $20 the day of the event at the chamber office. Super Hero Saturday
Angels for Animals will host Super Hero Saturday Comic Book Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 28 at Andrews Hall, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield. Admission is $5 for individuals and $10 for families. Free comic book and toy appraisal. For information call Tom Molocea at 330-550-5503.
South Range board
The South Range Local Board of Education regular meeting originally scheduled for Feb. 18 has been rescheduled for Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. in the K-12 building.
EP Eagles Cash Bash
East Palestine Eagles #1506 is having their Annual Cash Bash on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m. Tickets are limited and only sold in advance. Tickets are available at the EP Eagles club and are $20. Ticket gives four three-digit numbers and 64 chances to win cash money. Cash prizes are drawn every 15 minutes from 6 to 10 pm. Plus the ticket is admission to the event which will have free food available, two large basket raffles and other games of chance to play. Doors open at 5 p.m.
Sebring school board
The Sebring school board will hold a series of special meetings for executive sessions to consider the employment of a public employee or official. The meetings include 9 a.m. Feb. 21 in the administrative offices, 5 p.m. Feb. 24 in the high school auditorium, 5 p.m. Feb. 26 in the high school auditorium and 5 p.m. March 9 in the high school auditorium.
Lepper Library events
LISBON — Lepper Library has announced the following programs:
Soil & Conservation Program “From the Rain Barrel to the Rain Garden”: 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Guest Speakers: Pete Conkle, Soil & Water Conservationist, and Haley Shoemaker, OSU Extension. They are returning to showcase the benefits of rain barrels, including rainwater collection, runoff reduction, and plant watering. The program will cover maintenance, usage, and include a rain garden demonstration.
Weekly Storytimes Moving and Grooving: 10 a.m. Tuesdays. This Storytime is geared toward babies and toddlers. Come sing songs, listen to a story, and play. Older siblings are welcome to join in also.
Weekly Storytimes Preschool Story Hour: 11 a.m. Tuesdays. Sing songs, listen to stories, and make crafts. Stay and play after the program. Geared toward children 3-5 but younger and older siblings are welcome.
For the Love of the Olympic Games: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 14. Drop in and help celebrate the Winter Olympic Games and USA with arts and crafts for all ages.
Moving and Grooving Preschool Storytime are all made possible in part by state tax dollars given by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
